"When I begin with a painting,I usually start with a slight layer of colors. Unintentionally I swing my brush on the white canvas until suddenly, through a spontaneous line, a face emerges. All of the sudden this face reveales a body and this body is calling for a new and different face.
​
My hand is now moving on its own and I lose myself in a state I like to compare to a dream. We all cannot time the moment we fall asleep. It happens without our knowing. Similarly, I just lose myself quietly and unnoticeably in the world of my art.
​
Everything I dream and thus bring onto the canvas is no longer within my control and yet it is the purest product of myself. "
